Solid Castile Soap:
Castile soap is a concentrated vegetable-based soap made of natural ingredients you can actually pronounce. This soap is gentle on the skin and effective to fight against dirt, grease, and unwanted germs. Dr. Bronner’s is a the most popular brand of castile soap. You can buy it at your local stores (groceries, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond) or Amazon. It is not as cheap as vinegar but it a must have.

Washing Soda:
Washing soda, also known as soda ash, is a chemical compound that can be used to remove stubborn stains from laundry and is an essential component in most homemade laundry detergent for powder, liquid, or single pod formulas. It is often used in commercial detergent mixtures as well to treat hard water.
The washing soda binds to the minerals which make water hard and allows the detergent to be absorbed into fibers properly to clean clothes.
The sodium carbonate “softens” water helping other cleaning ingredients lift soil from the fabrics and suspend the soil in the wash water.
Washing soda should not be confused with baking soda, although the two compounds are closely related.

Distilled White Vinegar:
Vinegar is 5% acetic acid. It’s cheap, it’s natural, and it’s tough on bacteria, mildew, and dirt. You can buy it at your local stores and it is very inexpensive. Vinegar is a powerful cleaner HOWEVER you cannot use it on marble, granite or natural stone. I like to use my vinegar cleaning solution to wipe the faucets, clean the sink, clean the refrigerator (inside and out), toilets, or anything I want to remove odor.

Distilled Water:
Water is the base for our multi-purpose cleaner. You should used distilled water for making cleaning products. Distilled water will help to keep your cleaning solution longer without bacteria. You can buy it at your local stores or you can make your own distilled water by simply boiling water and let it cool.

Thieves® Laundry Soap:
With a plant-based formula, Thieves Laundry Soap gently and naturally washes your clothes, cleaning them without any chemical or synthetic residue. Natural enzymes and powerful essential oils add to the formula’s strength to leave your clothes fresh and clean with a light citrus scent. Thieves Laundry Soap can be used in all washers, including high-efficiency, and its highly concentrated formula (6X) will provide around 64 loads with just 32 fl.
